This morning--as with the past few mornings--I was feeling thin. Well, not really "thin"--but thinner. You know, that point of thinness where zipping and buttoning your pants no longer takes so much effort that you feel as if you have just endured an intense workout? And your breathing is restricted because all of those organs that belong in your belly have been pushed up into your lungs?
So I left the house in my now looser-fitting denim shorts and a favorite polo shirt to go and get my hair cut. After that appointment, when I was looking really fab, I decided that I'd wander through the mall for a bit. Most of the stores had not yet opened, but Macy's had. And what a lucky break! They were having a special morning hours sale: 40-50% off off of the already marked down prices! Woo Hoo!!!
In time, I found a few items that I liked and were deals just too good to pass up. So I took my finds to the dressing room--you know, just to make sure that the colors looked good on me. And that is where it happened: my thin, fab-looking bubble was burst!
Department store dressing room mirrors are SO mean!!!
So I quickly decided on which items would fit into my clothes budget (huh? I have a clothes budget?), and left...
...in my now looser-fitting denim shorts, my favorite polo shirt, and my fab-looking haircut.
