Progressing Goals

I am happy to report that at just past half of the year, I am making good progress in attaining my main goals for 2007.

The "big" (aka: important, meaningful) goals:

Lose weight and get more fit.
My goal is to lose a minimum of 25 pounds for the year. Unfortunately, I started out the year by gaining 5 pounds in the first three months. But I got back on track after that, and have now lost that extra 5, and 5 more. No, I'm not going to cheat. I still have at least 20 more pounds to shed in the next 5 months in order to reach my goal.

Pray daily.
For this goal, I am proud to say, I have been doing about about 90-95% of the time (counting morning and bedtime prayers) so far. And I'm hoping to be even better by the end of the year.

Socialise more.
On April 1st I posted about meeting an old acquaintance, a new friend, and exchanging emails with a few others. What I didn't post about was another old friend who found me (that's another story to tell), who I've not only been keeping in touch with, but was able to spend time with when he came to visit this past month. And it's not been all about my men. I've had family and friends here, too. And I've truly enjoyed having everyone here.

This might not sound like any great accomplishment, but for me it is. As little as a year ago, I struggled to be around people--too many, or for too long. Doing so could bring on an anxiety attack or worsen my feelings of depression.

The "little" goals:
*Clean out the "pile-it" room (a.k.a. the office).
*Alter the living room curtains.
*Sew the bedroom curtains.
*Sew the dining room curtains.
*Clean and reorganise the kitchen shelves.
*And, finally, have the deck/studio addition started and completed. And the yard landscaped.

*Make more money???

Ironically, I haven't made much progess on the "little" ones...

Way to go! You did take care of the pile-it room, didn't you?

Great goals.

I think you should make it a goal to blog more regularly. :)

Mr. Fob. Actually, I do Blog-Read very regularly. I just don't Blog-Write quite as much. Well, actually I do. It's just that what I Blog-Think is Blog-Blocked between my thoughts and the keyboard.

I should have specified that I meant blog-write. Good luck getting past the blog-block.

I just found your blog... and it's great to read more about you! I was so sad when I missed seeing your quilt for Lisa by ONE DAY! You have a gift. Maybe I should be taking advice from you on quilting!
